The Catholic Archbishop of the diocese of Benin, Most Rev. Augustine Obiora Akubeze has encouraged Catholic priests in the diocese to include prayers for the Esama of Benin and his family in all their masses.
Archbishop Akubeze made the pronouncement at the 2025 Cathedraticum of Iguobasuwa diocese, which held at the Archangel Gabriel Catholic Church Okada, Ovia North East Local Government Area.
Pius Nsogho reports that a large turn out of Catholic faithful from different parishes attended this years Cathedraticum.
