The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress ADC, Engineer Osarenren Derek Izedonmwen has congratulated the winner of Edo State Governorship Election, Senator Monday Okpevbolo, but expressed strong reservations over alleged Poor conduct of the election.

Engineer Osareren Derek Izedomwen in a statement says that there were some challenges in the just Concluded Election and advised his teaming supporters to remain calm as a journey of a thousands miles begins with a step.

The Governorship Candidate maintained that all democrats must embrace peace for both Human and Infrastructural development of Edo State as Growth can never be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour.

He strongly condemned wide-spread votes buying and other Electoral Fraud most especially in Edo North by Some Political Parties, a situation he described as unpalatable for the Nations Nascent Democracy while urging the good People of Edo state to remain calm while things are being sort out.

The ADC Governorship Candidate Engineer Derek Izedonmwen said the progress of Edo State cannot be compromised under any guise and appreciated his supporters for voting for ADC and condemned the alleged interference of Federal Agencies in the just Concluded Election.

He urged aggrieved persons to seek redress in Court instead of resorting to violence and destruction of property. Stating that democracy thrives when its principles, including the peaceful resolution of disputes amongst others are upheld.

He thanked his supporters, volunteers, and donors—for their extraordinary efforts, tireless work, and unshakeable commitment to a better Edo.

He called on the winner to focus on the development of the state.
