The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress governorship campaign council, Edo State, Senator, Pharmacist Matthew Urhoghide has congratulated the Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy Governor-elect, Dennis Idahosa on the resounding victory recorded in the just concluded governorship election.

In a statement for and on behalf of members of the Council, Senator Urhoghide says the victory is a testament to the general acceptance that the All Progressives Congress Candidates enjoy across the entire state and also a victory for the good people of Edo State and democracy.

The statement said while they await the formal inauguration of the new government, which they are positive will usher in a new, practical, progressive and better development of Edo state, it emphasized that the victory will not have been possible without the support, will and resolve of the good people of Edo State as well as the dutiful and indefatigable efforts of members of the campaign council.

The All Progressives Congress governorship campaign council said the peoples’ will and resolve must therefore be respected by all, no matter their political leaning.
