Governor Siminalayi Fubara has denied allegations levelled against him by a former Head of Service (HoS) of the state George Nwaeke and is asking Nigerians to disregard them.

Fubara, in a statement he signed personally early Saturday, described Nwaeke’s comments as “laughable”.

According to him, Nwaeke has been compromised stressing that whatever he is saying is only aimed at fulfilling his promise to those who may have paid or coerced him to lie against him.

He called on Nigerians and the people of Rivers State to disregard everything said by Nwaeke as they are mere desperate attempts to discredit him and his administration, and undermine the peace process by President Bola Tinubu.

Among the accusations Nwaeke levelled against Fubara was that of conniving with militants to blow up oil pipelines in the state amid the political crisis rocking Rivers.
