The Executive Chairman, Oredo Government Council, Dr. Tom Obaseki will on Saturday flag off 12 teams Oredo Ward Football League
A Statement to that effect says 12 teams Oredo Ward Football League is a strategic Policy to further enhance the development of youths and sports in Oredo Local Government,
The Statement adds that the Oredo Ward Football League which is aimed at harnessing the potentials of young people in sports consist of 12 teams from the 12 wards in Oredo, who will play eleven matches.
The matches are to be played on Saturdays by 8am and Wednesdays between 3:30pm in 6 different Centers in Oredo including Emotan Girl Grammar School, Wire Road, Idia College, New Lagos Road, Oba Ewuare Secondary School Gapiona Road, Arinze Primary School Second East Circular, Iguodala Primary School Murtala Mohamed Way and UWA Primary School First East Circular.
The Statement says The Executive Chairman, Dr. Tom Obaseki has assured that the tournament will be exciting and enhance community cohesion amongst Oredo residents.
This Programme is in furtherance of Oredo Games 2024 which commenced in March 2024 with Boxing Bouts in line with the Dr. Tom Obaseki’s Vision to develop Raw Talent in Oredo Government Council Which is the traditional home of Sports in Edo State.
