
The Benin Traditional Council has urged the public to take note that during the traditional funeral rites of Iyoba Omo N’Ikuoyemwen, Iyoba Ewuare the Second, which begins on Saturday, 15th of February till Thursday, 27th of March, 2025, only the small white beads, also known as Omonorhue, are allowed to be worn during the period.
A statement by the Secretary, Benin Traditional Council, Frank Irabor, says for the avoidance of doubt, no traditional coral beads should be used on any occasion such as weddings, burials, and any social events and non-social events.
