The Chairman of Oredo Government Council, Doctor Tom Obaseki felicitates with children of Oredo Council Area as they mark the 2024 Children’s Day, a day set aside to celebrate children all over the world and for adults to remember their childhood experiences.
In a statement, Obaseki noted that Children’s Day is a reminder of government’s responsibility to provide a nurturing environment that allows children to grow, learn, and thrive and also a day to reaffirm commitment to their wellbeing, education and happiness.
The Oredo Local Government Boss refers to children as part of the nation’s highly valued critical assets whose potential cannot be undermined as they also play a vital role in Nation Building.
He added that children are future leaders, innovators and change makers of the future.
He urged them never to stop dreaming, exploring, learning as they have the power to shape the world and make it a better place.
He also admonished them to be good ambassadors of Oredo wherever they find themselves.
The Oredo Council Chairman expressed gratitude to parents for their tireless efforts in supporting and guiding their children as their love, care and dedication are the foundation on which children’s success is built.
He urged parents not to lose sight of their parental dispositions in ensuring good moral upbringing of their children.
The chairman reassures them of his administration’s commitment, especially in the education sub-sector which includes a better learning environment and sports development among others and wishes all children a happy children’s day celebration.
