The management team of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) conducted an inspection of various medical, dental, housing, and construction projects across Maiduguri town On Sunday.
The inspection initiative was aimed at assessing the current progress of projects aimed at improving the living conditions and healthcare services in the state, which has been significantly affected by years of conflict.
The Managing Director/CEO, Ambassador Mohammed Goni Alkali led the Executive Directors and other top of management staff of the NEDC and visited several key sites, including newly built and upgraded DSS offices and houses, healthcare facilities and dental clinics as well as water ways dredging equipments purchased by the commission that are being to serve the local populace.
During the inspections, the team emphasized the importance of timely completion of these projects to enhance access to essential healthcare services and others.
