Afrobeats sensation Davido has been selected by King Charles III to feature on his exclusive playlist, “King’s Music Room.”
The playlist, curated by the King himself, showcases his favourite tracks from artists across the Commonwealth.
The project features Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones, Raye, and Davido.
Davido’s inclusion has further proven his growing international influence and role in putting Afrobeats on the global map.
According to a statement from the palace, King Charles III created the playlist to share the music that brings him joy.
Davido’s feature on the playlist is a significant nod to African music and its rising stars.
The playlist will be available exclusively on Apple Music in celebration of Commonwealth Day 2025 on the 11th of March, 2025.
