The attention of the Uwaifo Family of Ogbe N’Alaka has been drawn to the sacrilegious conducts of one of our Children Mr. Matthew Uwaifo against the sacred Benin traditions, during his visit to the Ooni of Ife.
A statement signed by Mr. Osarume Uwaifo, Hannibal Uwaifo Esq & Mr. Efe Uwaifo condemned the conduct which was described as a betrayal and an affront on the authority of the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II.
The Uwaifo Family of Ogbe N’Alaka said that the claims made by Mathew are not only irresponsible but absolute falsehood.
The Family hereby dissociates itself from the activities of Mathew and say categorically that he is acting on “his own” and he is accountable for his actions.
They pledged their continuous and undying loyalty to the Oba of Benin and said Mr. Mathew Uwaifo has been suspended from all activities of the Uwaifo Family.
