The Association of Enigie in Edo South senatorial district has debunked a purported endorsement of a gubernatorial candidate of a particular political party in the Edo 2024 governorship election.
The Association of Enigie in a statement signed by the Enogie of Iguogbe, His Royal Highness Ibie Okhionkpaimwonyi, His Royal Highness, Kelly Nosa Udobor, Enogie of Ugolo and thirty-eight other Enigie said the decision to dissociate themselves from the endorsement of any political party was reached at a meeting held on thirtieth August, 2024.
The statement said the Enigie are not partisan and therefore should not be seen endorsing a particular political candidate for the Governorship Election in Edo State.
The Enigie added that they are fathers to all Governorship candidates contesting in the Edo 2024 Governorship Election.
