INEC has declared Senator Monday Okpebholo of the APC as the winner of the keenly contested Edo 2024 Governorship Election held on Saturday.

INEC’s Returning Officer Prof Faruk Kuta announced that Senator Okpebholo secured two hundred and ninety-one thousand, six hundred and sixty-seven votes to defeat PDP Candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo who got two hundred and forty-seven thousand, two hundred and seventy-four votes and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party who got twenty thousand, seven hundred and sixty-three votes.
