Vote buying, financial inducement, result manipulation and intimidation of the electorate by political gladiators during the just concluded Edo State governorship election have been identified as the major cause of under development in Edo state and Nigeria at large.

The governorship candidate of Labour Party, Barrister Olumide Akpata stated this during a press conference and party leaders at the party’s secretariat on Boundary road, Benin City.
