Against the backdrop of the crisis rocking the National leadership of the Labour Party led by Barrister Julius Abure, the party has constituted a caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of the Edo State Chapter of the party.

The Seventeen-man caretaker committee is headed by Mrs Elizabeth Ativie, a former Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly.
