In a bid to combat illegal mining and promote sustainable practices in Edo State, the Ministry of Mining, Oil, and Gas in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development has inspected and sealed up two illegal mining sites.
The Edo State Commissioner for Mining, Oil, and Gas, Andrew Ijegbai, was accompanied during the inspection by Eugene Okoloise, Chairman of the Edo State Taskforce on Protection of Government Property; Omoruyi Ihianle, Director of Mining at the Edo State Ministry of Mining; and staff from both ministries.
