The All Progressives Congress has officially announced the 24-member Transition Committee tasked with working alongside the outgoing administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
The committee is led by a former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Doctor Pius Odubu, who will spearhead the team in ensuring a smooth handover to the incoming government of Senator Monday Okpebholo.
This was confirmed in a letter signed by APC Chairman, Edo State, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe and addressed to Governor Obaseki.
The letter expressed the party’s readiness for a collaborative transition process, stating.
Prominent figures in the committee include a former Secretary to Edo State Government, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, and Kazeem Afegbua.
Other notable members include Pharmacist Matthew Urhoghide, Barrister Andrew Adaze Enwanta, and Member, Eighth National Assembly, Barrister Omosede Igbinedion.
The list underscores the APC’s commitment to a broad and experienced transition team.
