A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted the EFCC permission to arrest the immediate past former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, preparatory to his arraignment on Thursday.
Justice Emeka Nwite granted the warrant on Wednesday at the instance of the EFCC.
In a dramatic twist, a Kogi State High Court in Lokoja, has restrained the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission from infringing on the fundamental human rights of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
In a two hour judgment delivered on Wednesday, Justice I.A Jamil, restrained the EFCC from arresting, detaining and prosecuting the applicant except as authorised by the Court.
