The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, yesterday received a 12-member delegation from Benin Republic’s Autonomous National Electoral Commission, who visited on a study tour.

INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, received the delegation from Benin Republic alongside other top officials of the commission at INEC headquarters in Abuja.

Led by Sacca Lafia, CENA president, the delegation include national commissioners, directors, and senior staff.

According to Lafia, the visit was aimed at learning from Nigeria’s electoral processes and best practices as Benin Republic prepares for its upcoming 2026 elections.
