A former President of Liberia and former World Footballer of the Year, His Excellency, George Weah has joined the league of world citizens to felicitate the Honourary Romanian Consul to Edo and Delta States of Nigeria and Esama of Benin, His Excellency, Sir, Chief Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedíon as he clocks Ninety.
In a special tribute, the former Liberaian President says Sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedíon has been a source of inspiration to him throughout his journey to eminence, whether in Sports or politics.
Mr. Weah stated that a great part of his success in politics is owed to the benevolence of the Esama of Benin and constant encouragement, for which he remains eternally grateful.
The former Liberian President recalls the solidarity and humanitarian visits of Sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedíon to Liberia at the height of the civil war in the Eighties and the philanthropic initiatives the celebrant undertook to help cater for war affected population including volunteering his airline, Okada Air to airlift peacekeepers to Monrovia.
Mr. Weah eulogised Sir, Chief, Doctor Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedíon for investing in education and healthcare besides dedicating a significant portion of his personal resources to catering for the growth and well being of future generations.
