The Nigeria Councillors Forum of Nigeria, Edo State chapter have described the arrest of one of their members in Esan North East as illegal and unacceptable alleging his treatment as a common criminal is barbaric and undemocratic.
The Executive members of the forum made their position known at a press conference held in Benin where they called on the Inspector General of Police, the AIG zone 5 and the Edo state commissioner of police to call their men to order.
