The University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH, has been honoured with the prestigious Award of Excellence for Best Hospital in Effective Service Delivery, in Nigeria by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
The honour was bestowed on the Tertiary Health Institution by the Federal Ministry of Health by a Memo titled Award of Excellence, Best Hospital in Effective Service Delivery signed by the Head Reform Coordinator and Service Improvement on behalf of the Health Minister Professor Mohammed Ali Pate.
A Statement by the Head, Public Relations and Protocol Unit, University of Benin Teaching Hospital UNTH, Benin Barrister Joshua I. Uwaila, says the honour reflects the Hospital’s dedication to compassionate, patient-centred care, responsiveness to the dynamic healthcare landscape, and setting new standards of excellence under the visionary leadership of the Chief Medical Director Professor Darlington Obaseki and his team.
The Statement adds that with the tireless dedication of Management and staff, the Hospital is proud to fulfil its vision to lead in quality healthcare across West Africa.
Barrister Joshua I. Uwaila said in the Statement that as the Hospital celebrates the record achievement, the Management and Staff renew their pledge to provide high-quality, compassionate care and to remain a trusted symbol of hope and healing for all.
The Hospital expressed deep Appreciation to all who have made it synonymous with excellence.
