A Federal High Court in Kano has scheduled the fourth of March, 2025, for the hearing of a suit seeking the court to declare that the 44 local government chairmen in the state were not democratically elected and, as such, are ineligible to receive federal allocations.
Kano Correspondent Abdul Ibrahim reports that the case filed by the All Progressives Congress, Kano State Chairman of the party, and Aliyu Tiga is challenging the legitimacy of the 2024 local government elections in the state.
