The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, December 25th, Thursday, December 26th and Wednesday, January 1st, 2025 as public holidays to mark Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year celebrations.
This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Doctor Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani, on Monday.
Tunji-Ojo extended greetings to Nigerians, encouraging citizens to embrace the season’s values of love, peace, and unity.
The Minister said the Christmas season is good moment for both spiritual reflection and national renewal stressing that as Nigerians celebrate the birth of Jesus, citizens should demonstrate kindness and extend goodwill to one another, irrespective of differences.
He assured Nigerians of government’s dedication and commitment to ensuring peace, security, and prosperity across the nation.
