In A Bid To Curb Operational Costs And Embrace Innovation, The Federal Government Has Commenced Retrofitting Of The Nigerian Railway Corporation’s Locomotives To Dual- Retrofit Engines.

Speaking After An On The Spot Assessment At The NRC Locomotive Workshop Idu ,The Minister Of Transportation Sa’ Id Alkali Said The Move Would Cut Cost Of Maintenance By 70 Percent And Reduce Carbon Emissions.

The Minister Said If The Attempt On Abuja-Kaduna Rail Corridor Is Successful, It Will Be Replicated On All Other Rail Corridors In Nigeria
