As The Nation Continues To Respond To The Emergency Needs Of Victims Of Flooding In Maiduguri The Borno State Capital, A Delegation From The Nigerian Senate Has Also Visited The Flood Ravaged Capital.

The Delegation Led By The Senate Chief Whip Senator Mohammed Monguno Alongside The National Emergency Management Was There To Condole With The Families Of Those Who Lost Their Loved Ones As Well As Provide Relief Materials For The Victims.

Speaking The Chairman Senate Committee On Special Duties Senator Kaka Shehu While Commending The Federal Government For Its Efforts So Far Emphasized The Importance Of Reaching Out To The Victims Especially As The Representatives Of The People.

According To NEMA More Than 23, 000 Households Were Affected By The Rapid Rise Of Water Following The Weekend Rupture Of The Alau Dam On The Ngadda River Located 20 Kilometer South Of Maiduguri.
