The Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki has warned federal mining officers in the state to desist from authorising illegal mining activities, pending when an agreement is reached on areas to be borrowed.

The Governor handed down the warning during an assessment visit to an illegal excavation site at Obagie N’Evbosa in Ikpoba Okha local government area.
