The Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has performed the ground breaking for the proposed Loyola Jesuit University in Nigeria to be built on a 214.9 hectares of land in Ewatto, Esan South East Local Government Area.

The proposed University is the first Jesuit Loyola University to be built in Nigeria and West Africa.
