His Royal Majesty, Ewuare the Second, Oba of Benin will by the grace of God and the Royal Ancestors, commemorate his eighth-year coronation anniversary on the throne of his ancestors.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Oba of Benin, Osaigbovo Iguobaro says the coronation anniversary will be commemorated with a Thanksgiving Sunday, at the Holy Aruosa Cathedral on Sunday, twentieth October, 2024.
According to the statement, all Edo Sons and Daughters are invited to the service at Holy Aruosa Cathedral located at Akpakpava Road, Benin City at ten o’clock in the morning.
In a related development, as part of activities marking the celebration of Emorho, known as the new yam festival, the Oba of Benin has invited all Edionwere, Village Heads and Igbama, known as Okaighele in various villages in Benin to the Palace of the Oba of Benin for Emorho feast on Friday, 18th October, 2024 at one o’clock in the afternoon.
