The Chairman of the Katsina State Independent Electoral Commission KTSIEC Alhaji Lawal Alhassan Faskari has declared the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the overall winner of all 34 Local Government Council elections held on Saturday.
Speaking during a press briefing, Alhaji Faskari expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the successful conduct of the elections.
He commended the electorate, stakeholders, and election observers for their cooperation, which ensured a smooth and credible electoral process.
He also deeply appreciated the dedication of the ad-hoc staff, management team, and security agencies who worked tirelessly to uphold the integrity of the elections.
He acknowledged the support of election monitors, political parties, and the general public in making the exercise transparent and peaceful.
With the official announcement, the newly elected officials are set to assume office, marking a new chapter in local governance across Katsina State.
