The leadership of Okhouromi Community in Oredo Local Government Area Of Edo State has raised concerns over what they observed as illegal sales of land and houses unknown to the leadership of the community.

A statement signed by the Ohen of Okhouromi Community, Ovbokhan Igbinovia, Odionwere, Pa John Edosomwan, as well as the Secretary, Mr Austin Igbinovia, seriously frowned at reports of indiscriminate sales of lands and houses by youths without the acknowledgement of the leadership of the community.

The Ohen said he is a law-abiding and respectful person, and as such, will not support illegality under any guise.

He called on prospective developers to transact directly with the leadership of the community led by the Ohen, Odionwere, and secretary of the community, adding that anybody or group of persons who carries out business with youths without the acknowledgement of the leadership of the community does that at his or her own risk.

The Okhuoromi leadership asked those behind illegal sales of lands and houses to desist forthwith as a committee has been set up to monitor the community. Said people with genuine complaints should contact them on 09047258331.
