The Enogie and elders of Oye-Iyanomo community located at Upper Ekenwan Road, opposite Jesus Women Church, Benin City have raised an alarm over illegal sales of land to unknown developers in the community.

A statement jointly signed by the Enogie of Oye-Iyanomo Community, His Royal Highness, Alfred Erhauyi Osagie and Odionwere, PA Johnson Ewere urged the public to take note that the area being sold and developed by unknown persons are under litigation between Oye-Iyanomo community and the Nigerian Army, Ekenwan barracks at the Okada High Court in suite number HCOK/59/2011.

The statement explains that anyone who chooses to fall a victim by engaging in land transaction with unknown elements in the community do so are their own peril as the Enogie and the people of Oye-Iyanomo community are law abiding citizens, who respect the court injunction restraining the development on the area under litigation, pending the determination of the case
