In the English Premier League, Manchester City moved top of the table with a dominant five-goals-to-one victory over Luton Town at Etihad Stadium.
City led after only sixty-five seconds when Erling Haaland’s volley hit Luton’s defender before flying into the net and doubled the lead through Mateo Kovacic’s, rising strike from near the edge of the area.
Haaland got his brace with a penalty before Ross Barkley pulled one back for the Hatters but Jeremy Doku cut in from the left to slot a fine solo goal into the bottom corner.
Doku then set up City’s fifth as he picked out Josko Gvardiol, who slammed a superb shot into the top corner.
City are two points clear at the top, although Liverpool and Arsenal, can move back above them on Sunday.
In other games, Newcastle United thrashed Tottenham Hotspur four nil, Burnley and Brighton played out a one-all draw, Brentford beat Sheffield United two goals to nil while Wolves and Nottingham Forest settled for a two-all draw.
