The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Europe Chapter has appealed to Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki to establish a Diaspora Agency that will cater for the people of the state who are facing some challenges in Europe.
In a statement, a spokesman for NYCN, Europe chapter, Ambassador Collins Idahosa stated that the establishment of the agency will assist many daughters and sons of Edo state who are presently stranded in Europe.
According to him, with the establishment of the Diaspora Agency, some Edo people in Europe who are homeless and jobless, who intend to return to Nigeria but lack the financial wherewithal to transport themselves back to the country the agency will cater for such needs.
Ambassador Idahosa noted that the establishment of Diaspora Agency was earlier in the works but did not see the light of day.
He appealed to Governor Obaseki to establish it before leaving office, adding that such organization will be part of the enviable achievements that he will be remembered for.
