The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare the Second has called for a traditional Rites known as Bisusu, to ward Off perceived calamity ahead of Edo State Saturday September twenty-one governorship election.

In a statement, Chief Stanley Obamwonyi, the Esere of Benin issued on behalf of the Oba on Wednesday, directs all Palace Chiefs, Benin Dukes or Enigie, Ikao, Igie-Ohen or Traditional Priests of various deities and Edionwere or village heads in Benin to immediately perform the traditional rites using required traditional items.

The statement says the Rites should be exercised with immediate effect to wave off evil from the Land, especially before, during and after the forth-coming gubernatorial election across the State.
