The Odionwere and Elders of Emah Community in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo State say their attention has been drawn to a publication in the media banning the sale of land in Emah Community.
A statement jointly signed by the Odionwere, Pa. Okina Okoro, Ozukpogieva (Second-in-Command) Pa. Osagie Ederaro, Ogevbo, Osasere Imariabe, and Secretary Osaro Agege advised the public to disregard such publication as it is not from the Odionwere or community leaders.
The statement said there is no crisis in Emah Community contrary to claim in the said publication warranting the stoppage of sale of land in the community.
According to the statement, the public should be aware that Odionwere of a community and leaders are those vested with the right to decide in the community and not anybody or group of people trying to cause chaos.
The Odionwere, Pa. Okina Okoro and leaders of Emah Community advised the general public, especially developers, who wish to transact land business in Emah to do so through the Odionwere and community leaders as the community is peaceful.
