
The Presiding Judge of Okada Division of the High Court of Justice, Edo State of Nigeria, Justice V.O. Eboreime has given an order of accelerated hearing to the case bordering on the rightful odionwere of Isiohor community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.
In a ruling, Justice Eboreime held that the case brought before the court by Pa Dickson Iserhienrhien for himself and on behalf of members of Isiohor Village except the defendants, against Doctor Osayande Ugiagbe, First Defendant and respondent and Pa Michael Ehisienmen, second defendant and respondent over the odionwere position of the community has suffered too much delay hence the need to give it accelerated hearing.
The court also ordered all parties to the suit to maintain the status quo pending the hearing and determination of the action.
Counsel for the claimant, applicant and respondent, I.E. Orhue Esquire was present in court as well as counsel to the first Defendant, Respondent, Jude Imagbeghian Esquire.
The counsel to the Second Defendant’s applicant, respondent was however absent in court.
The case was thereafter adjourned to Twenty-ninth April, 2025.
