His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare the Second, Oba of Benin will round off the 2024 Annual Igue festival on Monday with the ‘Ugie Ewere’ ceremony.
The Ewere Ceremony brings blessings to homes and ushers mankind into a blissful New Year.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Oba of Benin, Mr. Osaigbovo Iguobaro, says all Palace Chiefs, Edionwere or Community heads, Ikao or traditional heads, as well as Ohen or traditional priests are invited to the ceremony.
The statement adds that Okaigheles or Youth Leaders are also invited to the Ewere ceremony.
The event begins at one in the afternoon at the Palace of the Oba of Benin.
