A former Chief in the Palace of the Oba of Benin Pa Johnbull Igbinosun who was suspended over his involvement in what was described as a sacrilegious conduct against the Benin Custom in Ife has sworn to Ayelala deity to prove his innocence of the allegations.

Pa Igbinosun insists that he was in the company of four other persons who visited the palace of the Ooni of Ife Oba, Adeyeye Ogunwunsi, he was never involved in the sacrilegious act.
