Chelsea continued their strong Premier League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Newcastle, highlighted by Cole Palmer’s seventh goal of the season.
Nicolas Jackson opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 18th minute, capitalizing on a well-placed pass from Pedro Neto after a setup by Palmer. Newcastle responded quickly, equalizing through Alexander Isak’s close-range finish.
Early in the second half, Palmer struck again, taking advantage of space just inside the penalty area to beat Nick Pope at his near post, which ultimately became the winning goal.
The win places Chelsea in fourth place and reflects their improved form under manager Enzo Maresca, with five wins in nine games this season.
