The Odionwere of Ogunmwenyin Community, in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo State, Pa. Nicholas Edobor Osaigboo and Elders in Council have called for the verification of documents of all land titles in the community.
A statement jointly signed by the Odionwere, Pa. Osaigbovo and two others, Akase Fidelis and Desmond Edobor, says the verification is aimed at preventing avoidable crisis, following the discovery of unauthorized sales of community land by yet to be identified individuals.
The statement advised anyone or group who own property in Ogunmwenyin in Ovia North East Local Government to produce the approval document to the verification committee set up for the purpose.
According to the statement, the exercise will take place from Monday, fourteenth April, 2025 to Friday, thirteenth May, 2025.
It warned that anyone or group who fails to present his or her land title document for verification stands to forfeit the said property.
