Official activities were on Monday disrupted at the Benin Owena River Basin Development Authority as members of the host communities in a protest march blocked the entrance to the premises preventing staff from gaining access to their offices.
The host communities namely Obayantor II, Owanoba, Ekosa and Agbonmoba are protesting against alleged marginalization in the appointment of Managing Director of the River Basin Authority since its forty-three years of existence.
