A dynamite explosion has rocked the secretariat of the Action People’s Party along the GRA axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
It was gathered that the incident occurred in the wee hours of Monday precisely around 1.00am.
The assailants allegedly threw substances believed to be dynamite into the building housing the secretariat shattering windows and doors, as well as destroying other property of the party.
It was gathered that the ceiling and fittings in the building were also destroyed while some party officials were sighted discussing the development.
Police have since deployed their personnel to keep watch over the destroyed property.
The APP Secretariat in Port Harcourt became a place of interest after the renovation of the place.
It was gathered that some aggrieved members of the PDP in Rivers State have finalized to decamp to the APP following the crisis rocking the PDP in the state.
The Police and the leadership of the APP are yet to make an official statement on the incident.
