On Tuesday, the leadership and members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union Of Educational and Associated Institutions in Lagos State protested against non-payment of four months’ salaries.

The unions during the protest vowed to shut down tertiary institutions in the country if the government failed to meet their demands.
