As part of activities marking the 2024 Ugie Festival, a traditional wrestling competition has been held at the Palace of the Oba of Benin.

Donald Ehimiyein, who captured highlights of the competition, reports that wrestlers from four local government areas – Oredo, Egor, Ikpoba-Okha, and Orhionmwon – participated in the event.
