The leadership of Trade Union Congress, Edo State Chapter has reacted to a press release by a group of persons, claiming that there was an election of new officers and executive arising from a delegate conference held on the Nineteenth of April, 2024.
A statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Trade Union Congress, Edo State Chapter, Comrade Inegbedion Ehidiauwa described the press release as false, untrue, unfounded and illegal.
The statement explains that no election or a delegate conference was held in Edo State.
It affirmed that the tenure of Comrade Aighomwanhi James Idubor. Teacher, Lead executive of the Trade Union Congress, Edo State Chapter has not expired.
The statement advised government agencies and the public to disregard the press release by another group or persons.
