The Parish Priest of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church AND Founder, Vision bearer of Catholic Intercessory Academy, Oghoghobi, Very Rev. Father Alfred Agbonlahor says he is deeply pained over the News of the passing away of Emeritus Archbishop of Benin, His Grace, Most Rev. Patrick Ebosele Ekpu.
In a statement, the Marian Priest and a lover of God, Very Rev. Father Alfred Agbonlahor says the late revered Emeritus Archbishop Ebosele Ekpu was instrumental to his priesthood and successfully ordained him as a priest in the catholic faith.
Very Rev. Father Agbonlahor said after his Ordination, the late Archbishop Ekpu housed him for three years with constant guidance and counselling on the way to live righteously.
He maintained that the late Archbishop is not just a mentor, a Father but a man to reckon with, whose legacies in the catholic faith can never be erased, describing him as a man with great moral probity and proven virtue, a man of great discipline and perseverance.
Rev. Fr. Agbonlahor said though he loved Late Archbishop Ekpu but God Loves him most and reiterated the biblical injunctions, which clearly states that there is a time to be born and a time to die, adding that he has solace in God.
While commiserating with the immediate family of Archbishop Ekpu, Rev. Fr. Agbonlahor urged Christians across the globe to pray for the repose of the soul of Emeritus Archbishop Patrick Ebosele Ekpu for God to grant him eternal rest.
